A Pre-Readiness Workshop conducted for Master Trainers of Gujarat
ELMS Sports Foundation conducted a training program ‘Train the Trainers Program’ under the patronage of Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG), Swarnim Gujarat Sports University (SGSU) and the Gujarat State Government. The program was conducted for 150 Physical Education Teachers at Bhavnagar for three days from 26th July to 2nd August 2019.
‘Train the Trainers program’ was one of the biggest projects of its kind in the country in the field of Physical Education. It was to get an insight of the PE teachers' understanding of the sessions covered in the previous workshop and what they would deliver in the sessions as Master Trainers to the other PE Teachers in the next workshop.
The PE Teachers executed the learnings from the sessions by creating a sample lesson plan. They then executed it with children who are part of the Bhavnagar Sports Complex and were given constructive feedback by the ELMS Experts at the workshop. The PE Teachers gave an overwhelming response to the workshop with their energy and fruitful insights into their experience and learnings of the workshop.
The topics covered in the workshop were the Role of Education & Self and Body from Human Values, Lesson Plans from Implementation of Learnings, Child Development from Understanding of factors affecting Child Development, Child Psychology from Learning Styles and Physical workout sessions. The topics were judged by the ELMS team of experts consisting of Dr. Amit Malik, Ankita Jain, Sindhu Shree, and Alfiya Sheikh.
The workshop was also attended by Aman Sharma, Project Manager from Tata Trusts - Sports. Mr Sharma expressed his appreciation to the efforts of the teachers and said he was glad to be a part of the workshop.
